Bullet resistant Kevlar ballistic panels are designed to provide a strong protection of various levels in security systems. Made from many layers of high-quality Kevlar aramid fabric, they are built to resist bullet and projectile impacts, and offer a relatively lower weight defense for various needs. The fiber reinforced resin composite helps stop bullets by absorbing their energy, while it safely brakes apart in layers. In other words, the Kevlar reinforcement spreads the energy from the bullet across the entire panel, which brakes into layers, each one layer individually absorbing a part of the impact, so the bullet stops within the panel. As the layers separate, the material's ability to absorb subsequent shots improves.
Unlike the heavy metal barriers, Kevlar panels also reduce ricochet and prevent debris from flying off the back side, improving both safety and effectiveness. They are used to protect important infrastructure, people, buildings, and assets in industries like electric utilities, military and government facilities, law enforcement, and more.
